Our story

Black-owned. Family-founded.

Before YO SKINCARE, beauty was already part of our lives. Amin spent 15+ years in multicultural beauty marketing and product development. Kimmy grew up around corrective skincare through her mother, a master esthetician, and brings her communications and customer-care background to everything you see here.

We know this customer because we've served her for years. We know what she's tired of: complicated routines, expensive bundles and heavy products that sit on top of the skin. So we built something simpler. Three full-size products, African-rooted ingredients and a price that respects your budget.

In 2018, a serious car accident changed the pace of our lives. Recovery gave us space to reflect on faith, family, purpose and the Do-for-Self principle. That reflection became YO SKINCARE.

Thank you for helping us build something our children can see, touch, and one day say, "My parents built that."

YO means Your Original Skincare. "Original" is our reminder to stay connected to who we are, where our ingredients come from and the values behind what we build.
