FROM A TURNING POINT TO YOUR ORIGINAL SKINCARE.
Before YO SKINCARE, beauty was already part of our lives. Amin spent years helping build multicultural beauty brands and experiences, while Kimmy grew up around skincare through her mother, a master esthetician.
In 2018, a serious automobile accident changed the pace of our lives. Recovery created space to reflect on family, faith, purpose and the Do-for-Self principle that shaped how we saw ownership and responsibility. We began asking what we could build together that carried more meaning than simply putting another product on a shelf.
That question became YO SKINCARE. We built around authentic Ghanaian African Black Soap and, over time, returned to Ghana ourselves to strengthen the relationships behind the source. The same values shaped what we call Human Sustainability: building products and opportunities in a way that helps individuals, families and communities move forward with dignity.
YO means Your Original Skincare. “Original” is our reminder to stay connected—to who we are, where our ingredients come from and the values behind what we build—while creating skincare that fits real life today.
Now, as YO SKINCARE returns, we are not starting over. We are bringing forward what the journey taught us—experience, family, faith, heritage and purpose—and inviting our customers to grow with us.
